Your Quorum Terminal account ties the desktop app to your subscription. Sign in once, and the app shows your plan, trial status, and a path to manage billing on the web. Account and entitlement state are display-only inside the app: tokens, Stripe ids, and raw billing events stay in the main process and never reach the renderer.
Signing in
Authentication runs through Better Auth. You can use email and password (email verification is required, and you can reset a forgotten password by email) or sign in with Google.
The desktop app signs in with a device flow rather than asking for your password directly. From the Account section in Settings, choose Sign in:
- Quorum Terminal opens your browser and shows a short device code.
- Approve the device on the web page that opens.
- The app waits for approval, then switches to a signed-in view with your name, email, and plan.
Approve the same device code shown in the app. Use Cancel in the app to abandon a sign-in that is still waiting for approval.
Signing out locks Quorum Terminal and closes all running terminal sessions, so sign out only when you mean to stop working.
Your plan
Quorum Terminal is offered as Quorum Pro at $19/mo. New accounts start a 14-day free trial with a card collected upfront — there is no charge on the day you start. The Account section reflects your current state in plain language:

Managing billing
Billing changes happen on the web, not inside the app:
- Manage subscription / Update payment opens the Stripe customer portal, where you can change your card, view invoices, or cancel.
- Manage on the web ("Open console") takes you to your account, devices, and billing on the web.
- Refresh re-checks your entitlement so the app reflects a change you just made on the web.
The app caches a display-only snapshot and notes when it was last checked, so use Refresh after updating anything in the portal.
