Quorum Terminal ships updates continuously, and keeping current takes no effort on your part. This page explains where to read what changed, how the app updates itself, and which release channel you are on.
Release notes
Every release is documented on the changelog page — the full list of releases, newest first. Each entry lists the new features, fixes, and any behavior changes for that build. The same notes ship with the update itself, so what you read in-app and on the website always matches. When something in the app looks different, the release notes are the authoritative record of what moved and why.
Read release notes before a major update if you depend on a specific workflow — they call out anything that changes existing behavior.
Update channels
Quorum Terminal checks for and installs updates in the background, then applies them the next time you relaunch. You do not need to download or reinstall manually.
Today every install is on the Stable channel — vetted, signed and notarized builds intended for everyday use. A Canary channel with opt-in early builds is planned; until it ships, there is nothing to configure.
Staying current
A few notes on keeping your install fresh:
- Quorum Terminal is macOS-only (macOS 13+, Apple Silicon and Intel). Windows and Linux are planned for Q4 2026.
- The app runs locally and never receives your code, prompts, or usage — updates change only the application itself.
- A Homebrew cask is coming soon; once published,
brew upgrade --cask quorumwill also pull updates.
Quorum Terminal is proprietary, closed-source software. The published changelog is the single place to track what each version delivers.
